Our goal is to develop drug and cell based therapies based on fundamental research into understanding the genetic and environmental causes of human disease.
Institute research facilities include industry standard, robotic, high-throughput biochemical analysis, high-throughput X-ray crystallography and high-throughput confocal microscopy for cellular function assays. Plans are in place for a robotic cell culture system to automate and standardise cell production and a GMP facility for cell-based therapies.
The research environment is collegial and interactive with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary research and many opportunities for graduate education and training.
